About our In-Store Staff
Debi Kennedy
Debi Kennedy is the owner and operator of A Touch of Magick. She opened the store as a lady's consignment store in 2017 and operated in downtown Uxbridge for the first year. Since acquiring 'The Elmshade' in 2018, the shop has changed significantly, and the consignment clothing is long gone! Making way for a full new age/metaphysical gift shop.
Debi has been an Uxbridge resident for 15 years but is originally from the North Shore of Massachusetts near Salem. She has been drawn to spirituality and magick since early childhood. Debi is a wife and mother of 4 children, as well as many beloved pets. She is a music lover, car enthusiast, and a huge animal advocate - Pets of all kinds are welcomed to visit!
Ellie Lewis
Ellie is our Social Media and Event Coordinator here at A Touch of Magick, where she manages our online presence and helps bring our Psychic Faires, and community events to life. She loves creating opportunities for people to connect, learn, and discover what their own spiritual path looks like.
When she's not behind the scenes planning events, Ellie teaches our Sabbat celebrations and Make Your Own Spell Jar classes, making spiritual practices fun, accessible, and welcoming for everyone. She is currently in college studying Hospitality and Marketing with a minor in Human Resources, combining her passion for creativity, organization, and community in everything she does.

Gaby Aprili
Gaby has become an invaluable part of the A Touch of Magick family, bringing her warm energy, intuitive spirit, and contagious laughter to the shop every day. If you've ever walked in and heard giggling coming from behind the counter, there's a good chance it was Gaby and Ellie. As our Inventory Manager, she helps keep the shop running smoothly behind the scenes while always being ready to share her knowledge of crystals, tarot, and all things witchy with anyone who asks! Need a crystal rec? Don't know what spell to do? She can help!
Outside of the shop, Gaby is studying Radiology and is bilingual, speaking both English and Portuguese. She's naturally empathetic, always eager to help, and now gives our beloved former shop cat, Casper, the loving home he deserves. Whether you need help finding the perfect crystal or have a witchy question, Gaby is always happy to help!
Jamie Bates
Jamie is not only the talented photographer behind her in-shop studio, Wicked Depiction, but she is also a valued member of our amazing team here at the shop. Her creativity, kindness, and welcoming energy make her such a special part of our community. Whether she’s behind the camera capturing beautiful moments or helping out around the shop, Jamie is always ready to lend a hand.
She’s truly the kind of person who is always willing to help another witch out. If you ever have questions, need suggestions, or just want a little guidance while browsing the shop, Jamie is always one to jump in and help. Her knowledge, thoughtful recommendations, and genuine care for everyone who walks through the door make her such an incredible resource for our customers and our staff alike. We are so lucky to have her as part of our magickal little family!
Nakia Burke
Nakia is one of our newest gifted Mediums here at A Touch of Magick and has been part of our community long before joining the team. After retiring in March 2026 from a 20-year career in Early Intervention, she followed the intuitive path that had been calling to her for years. During readings with Val, she would often ask if the cards showed that she would one day work at the shop, and eventually, that vision became reality!
A lifelong intuitive, Nakia is honored to now offer mediumship readings while also helping around the store whenever she can. She loves connecting with others, providing compassionate guidance, and creating a welcoming space where people feel seen, supported, and inspired on their spiritual journeys. Whether you're stopping in for a reading or browsing the shop, you'll likely be greeted by Nakia's warm heart and genuine enthusiasm for helping others.

To our beloved co-worker, friend, spiritual sister, we love and miss you every day. We will never forget the impact you and your energy made here on at the shop and here on earth. Your mini witches, sprays, crocheted plushies, and so many other creations were so loved and cherished. Your silliness and positivity were a staple here at the shop even if you only worked here twice a week. Your laugh was so contagious no one could help but join in. There will never be times where we won't sing and dance in your honor. You had such an incredible impact not only on us, but with your students, clients, customers, and overall, anyone that was blessed to be in your presence. Every time you play Bohemian Rhapsody, we hear it. Every time we see a Bigfoot or a Mothman, we know it's you. A spot will always be saved for you here. You will never be left behind.

The Heather Woodman Scholarship
What is the Scholarship?
The Heather Woodman Scholarship started in 2026, in honor of our dear coworker, friend, sister, and more who passed away in August 2024. The Scholarship was created to honor Heather's memory and her love of learning, growth, and community. Each year, one member of the A Touch of Magick community will be selected to receive a full year of complimentary classes at the shop.
This scholarship is designed to help someone further explore their spiritual path, develop new skills, and deepen their understanding of the practices and subjects that inspire them. Whether you are just beginning your journey or looking to continue your growth, we encourage you to apply or nominate someone who would benefit from this opportunity.
The scholarship recipient will be selected and announced at our annual Fall Psychic Faire on September 27th, 2026. We are honored to continue Heather's legacy by helping others learn, connect, and grow.
